The Wilmington Rowing Center boathouse is located in downtown Wilmington on the Christina River along the Riverwalk - find us in the southeast corner of the Shipyard Shops. We have more than 150 active members who range from 14 to 75 years of age and we are the home of the Concord High School, Delaware Military Academy, and St. Mark's High School crew teams. Wilmington Rowing Center is open to rowers of all skills - raw novices, people with 50 years in the sport, and rowers of every level of experience in between. We offer summer lessons for anyone interested in learning how to row. Classes are held weekends from May through August. |

2010 Diamond State Masters |
The 20th DSMR, sponsoreed byt he WIlmington Rowing Club, will be held Sunday, July 25th, 2010 on Noxontown Pond in Middletown Delaware. Over ninety races will being at 8:15 am and finish at 6:00 pm. Last year 1,100 rowers from 50 Rowing Clubs as far away as Boston, Pittsburgh, and North Carolina competed on the 1,000 meter, six lane course. Live video provides visitors with a very dramatic view of the start of every race. Admission and parking at Rodney Point are free and plenty of refreshments are available. www.diamondstatemasters.com |

Always wanted to learn to row? |
Wilmington Rowing Center’s Learn-to-Row programs are a series of two-hour sessions for adults over the age of 18. Designed to give prospective rowers a complete introduction to of the sport of rowing, our courses focus on the basics of sweep rowing. The course is held at the Wilmington Rowing Center which is located in the Shipyard Shops on Wilmington’s Riverfront. |

Become a member of Wilmington Rowing Center and join a group of dynamic people in their pursuit of the ultimate sport of rowing.
We welcome you all even if you don’t know how to row. If you don’t know how to row, take some of our “Learn to Row” classes. These classes will give you the opportunity to learn the basics of rowing and get you out on the water in a safe, fun environment. Once you have completed these lessons you are eligible to become a member of WRC to continue your education through our recreational and racing venues.
If you do know how to row, we can offer you opportunities such as pure recreational fun or the challenges of racing on either our men’s or women’s Masters racing teams. |
