The Wilmington Rowing Center will be hosting a Corporate Regatta. The Christina Corporate Crew Challenge (C4) Regatta is planned for Spring 2012 on the Wilmington Riverfront.
This challenge is a great way for local organizations and businesses to promote health initiatives, “team build”, or reward employees for top performance.
- The participating organizations would select 8-10 employees for their team/crew.
- In the weeks leading up to the C4 Regatta, each team will be receiving instruction by an experienced coach teaching the basics of sweep rowing. The training would begin indoors with safety instruction, boat handling basics, and stroke practice on rowing machines. Subsequent sessions will be on the water with students joining experienced rowers in 8-person shells.
- The Competitors will battle on the Christina River for the coveted C4 Cup! More details about the event will be posted, so stay tuned.
